FBC Launches UK’s First Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich with Maryland S’wich

  • Fox’s Burton’s Companies introduces Maryland S’wich, the UK’s first chocolate chip cookie sandwich
  • Nationwide rollout supported by experiential activity at London King’s Cross.

July 2025 - Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC UK), the company behind leading biscuit brands including Maryland Cookies, Party Rings, Fox’s, unveils Maryland S’wich - the UK’s first chocolate chip cookie sandwich.

Maryland S’wich takes the much-loved Maryland Cookie to a new format for the first time in over a decade, combining the iconic flavour and irresistibly crunchy, crumbly texture of a Maryland Chocolate Chip Cookie with a rich, creamy chocolate filling.

Leading on innovation

As the first product of its kind from a major UK biscuit brand, Maryland S’wich reflects how FBC is using familiar brands to lead on innovation, bringing new formats to market that feel exciting and accessible.

“The sandwich biscuit space has long been without a cookie variant — until now. Maryland S’wich is an exciting new product that combines the trusted appeal of Maryland with the indulgent format of a sandwich cookie,” said David Hebson, Trade Marketing Director at FBC UK. “It’s a meaningful addition to our range and highlights our focus on thoughtful innovation that meets changing consumer expectations.”

Engaging with consumers in a memorable way

To support the launch, Maryland commissioned leading street artists 3D Joe and Max to create a large-scale 3D artwork at London King’s Cross station. The installation, which measured 7x5 metres, transformed the station concourse into a colourful, reimagined underground scene featuring greenery and giant cookie sandwiches. Designed to encourage commuters to pause and switch up their routines, the artwork 176 hours to complete.

The activation was also supported by research commissioned by Maryland, exploring the extent to which adults in the UK perform everyday tasks on autopilot. In a poll of 2,000 people, respondents reported spending an average of two and a half hours a day in autopilot mode, particularly when it comes to activities such as commuting, cooking and shopping.

Availability

Maryland S’wich is available now in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Co-op, Iceland, B&M and Farm Foods.
